Functions

• Overseeing student housing and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive residential environment.
• Addressing student concerns related to campus living and welfare.
• Maintenance of records related to students in general, extracurricular participation, and recognition.
• Provision of guidance services, mentorship, and support for students’ academic, personal and emotional well-being.
• Coordination of health, wellness, and disability support services.
• Supervision of student unions, associations, and clubs.
• Organization of leadership training, capacity-building, and student engagement programmes.
• Facilitation of programmes that help students adjust socially and academically.
• Upholding of student conduct codes and management of disciplinary matters with fairness and transparency.
• Promotion of ethical behaviour and community responsibility.
• Collaboration with employers and alumni to provide internship and job placement opportunities.
• Planning and supporting cultural, recreational, and educational activities that foster campus life.
•  Promotion of student participation in national and international events and competitions.
•  Helping administer student scholarships and other financial assistance programmes.
• Guiding students in accessing external funding such as loans.
• Issuing official student documents (e.g., recommendation letters).
