The Office of Academic Affairs at Akrokerri College of Education is responsible for the planning, coordination, and administration of all academic programmes and processes across the College.
New Grading System Report
This is the official report outlining the proposed grading system for Colleges of Education as submitted by the Dean of the Faculty of Educational Studies.
A formal request was made by Dr. Winston Abroampa on 22nd December 2021 for the adoption of a new grading structure for the Bachelor of Education programmes.
The programmes covered under this grading system include:
- B.Ed. Early Childhood Education
- B.Ed. Primary Education
- B.Ed. JHS Education

- Coordinate programme delivery and maintain academic standards across all departments;
- Manage academic calendars, timetables, and examinations;
- Oversee course registration, transcripts, and student records;
- Facilitate curriculum review, accreditation liaison and programme approval processes;
- Support academic staff development, quality assurance and teaching excellence initiatives.
- Develop and publish the academic calendar and ensure timely implementation of academic activities.
- Organise course registration, manage add/drop windows and resolve registration disputes.
- Coordinate assessment schedules, supervise examination administration and grade management.
- Maintain accurate student records, oversee transcript requests and certification processes.
- Facilitate curriculum review, programme development and compliance with GTEC/NAB requirements.
- Coordinate staff teaching loads, probation assessments and promotion-related documentation.
- Run induction and orientation programmes for new students and academic staff each semester.
- Provide data and reports to management, Council, and external agencies on academic matters.

Transcript Requests
Students and alumni may request official transcripts through the approved online portal. Click here to request your transcript.
Name & Date of Birth Corrections
Corrections to names or date-of-birth require certified supporting documents. Submit a completed correction form along with:
- Birth Certificate (certified copy);
- Admission letter / ID evidence;
- Exam certificate / results slip (WASSCE / NABPTEX);
- Any legal documentation supporting the change.
Course Registration
Course registration is mandatory for all students at the beginning of each semester. All students must complete course registration at the start of each semester to enroll in approved courses. Failure to do so may result in consequences.
Supplementary Examinations
Students writing supplementary examinations must make payment through;
