Entry Requirements

A. WASSCE / SSSCE Applicants

WASSCE Holders: CREDIT PASSES (A1–C6) in six (6) subjects including English Language and Core Mathematics.

SSSCE Holders: CREDIT PASSES (A–D) in six (6) subjects including English Language and Core Mathematics.

Candidates awaiting results may also apply.

B. GCE Advanced Level Applicants

Applicants must have passes in three (3) subjects and credit passes in five (5) GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

C. ABCE Applicants

Applicants must have passes in three (3) subjects and credit passes in five (5) GBCE subjects including English and Mathematics.

D. TVET Applicants

Applicants must possess Certificate II in relevant trade areas awarded by TEU, NVTI, City & Guilds, or other recognized awarding bodies.

E. Foreign Qualifications

All foreign qualifications should be referred to GTEC for equivalence and eligibility determination.

F. Bachelor of Education Programmes Offered

• B.Ed. Primary Education
• B.Ed. JHS Education

Note: JHS options allow specialization in subject areas such as Science, Mathematics, ICT, English, and Ghanaian Language.

G. Entry Requirements for Special Needs Applicants

Visually Impaired

This programme is currently not available at Akrokerri College of Education.

H. Online Application Procedure

Applicants will first make a payment of GHS 350.00 at any CBG branch nationwide or via Mobile Money by dialing *924*8#.

After Payment

• Applicants receive a PIN and Serial Number.
• Visit the admission portal to complete the application form.
• Submit the printed form and documents via Ghana Post EMS.
