Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach assigned B.Ed courses and support the professional preparation of teacher trainees.
• Prepare course outlines, lecture notes, teaching and learning materials, assignments, and examinations.
• Supervise student projects, action research, Supported Teaching in Schools, and field-based learning.
• Conduct research, publish scholarly work, mentor students, serve on committees, and support community service.

Qualification and Experience

• Applicant must possess a PhD in Physics, Agricultural Science, or a closely related relevant subject area.
• Professional teaching qualification such as PGDE, B.Ed, or Diploma in Education is required.
• Minimum two years tertiary teaching experience; College of Education experience is an advantage.
• Research, publications, computer literacy, and student supervision experience are added advantages.

Terms of Appointment

• Appointment shall be on the harmonized conditions of service for Colleges of Education.
• Salary placement shall be on the Single Spine Salary Structure at the appropriate Lecturer grade.
